Bad Bunny has a message for critics questioning his selection as 2026 Super Bowl halftime show headliner — start learning Spanish.

The Puerto Rican rapper, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, hosted this weekend’s season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live and addressed the criticism.

“I’m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy,” Bad Bunny said during Saturday’s monologue.

The rapper broke into Spanish, and thanked Latino men and women all over the world and in the U. S., who “worked to open doors.” He called his Super Bowl gig “a win for all of us.”

The Grammy-winning artist then said in English, “If you didn’t understand what I just said. You have four months to learn.”

Near the end of the monologue, a video montage played taking aim at Fox News. The video was made up of clips spliced together to make it sound like the hosts said Bad Bunny should “be the next president.”

Under a clip that SNL posted on X, fans said they “loved” the monologue, and praised the performer known as the “King of Latin Trap.”

But critics — who’ve been complaining for days that Bad Bunny isn’t mainstream enough for the Super Bowl because his songs are mostly in Spanish — expressed anger.

“@nflcommish after seeing clips from last night’s SNL, you must cancel Bad Bunny from performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl,” Tommy Noe, a former ring announcer for Smoky Mountain Wrestling, wrote in a post tagging NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“After watching Bad Bunny on SNL, his halftime show performance should be canceled. It’s a big mistake by NFL and we will boycott the Super Bowl,” conservative political columnist and pundit Brian Cates added on X.

MAGA podcaster D’Angelo B. Williams posted a video on X, bashing Bad Bunny’s monologue and insisted the rapper was being “disrespectful.” Williams captioned the post, “@BadBunny disrespects the USA!? No gratitude, just shade — NFL fumble for platforming him!”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has vowed immigration agents will be dispatched to Super Bowl LX next year in Santa Clara, California.

“We’ll be all over that place. We’re going to enforce the law. So people should not come to the Super Bowl unless they’re law-abiding citizens who love this country,” she told a conservative influencer.

Despite the criticism, Bad Bunny appears to be getting the last laugh and priceless free press courtesy of MAGA critics.
