Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo has made her first public comments since she and husband Eddie Osefo were arrested earlier this month.

Wendy posted two images to Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 19, of herself posing in a plunging black evening gown. The caption said she is leaning on her faith moving forward.

“And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful,” she wrote and included a praying hands emoji.

The reality star also urged fans to “tune into Bravo on Sunday for a new episode of the show.”

The post came after Wendy and Eddie, both 41, were indicted by a grand jury and arrested at their home in Finksburg, Maryland on Oct. 9.

Both face charges for allegedly falsely reporting a home burglary and theft of “approximately 80 items of jewelry, luxury goods, clothing, and shoes” worth a total of more than $200,000, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland wrote in a statement on Facebook.

Wendy is charged with a total of 16 counts, while Eddie faces 18 counts.

At a news conference, Carroll County Sheriff Jim DeWees and State’s Attorney Haven N. Shoemaker Jr. said the charges stem from an alleged burglary the couple reported at their home in April 2024.

DeWees said investigators obtained a warrant for the couple’s email accounts. In one e-mail, he said detectives found Eddie asked if there were “additional high-value items we can add to this inventory listing… I’m trying to get the total to exceed $423,000, which is our policy maximum.”

The sheriff added that detectives obtained a warrant for the pair’s social media accounts.

“Mrs. Osefo had posted photos on social media wearing jewelry that matched items she had reported stolen, specifically a diamond anniversary band,” DeWees said.

On the day they were arrested, the sheriff said the department executed a search and seizure warrant at the couple’s home, and found at least 15 items that were reported stolen.

After Wendy and Eddie posted bail, their rep issued a statement saying they plan to fight the case in court.

“The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

Wendy is a professor and has been a contributor on various news channels. She stepped down from her teaching position at Wesleyan University in Connecticut last week.

Eddie is an attorney, CEO and founder of the cannabis brand Happy Eddie.
