Lori Harvey is adding a new role to her acting resume. The model and entrepreneur joins the season 3 cast of the Hulu and Onyx Collective legal drama Reasonable Doubt in a recurring guest role.

Harvey will play “Chelsea” described as “an unpredictable force with a troubled past that resurfaces to challenge Jax (Emayatzy Corinealdi) in unexpected ways,” Onyx Collective announced Monday, Aug. 11.

This is Harvey’s second television role, after landing her big acting break on the award-winning limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.

Harvey is a philanthropist as well as president and CEO of Lori Harvey Enterprises, home of her skincare and swimwear brands.

On Reasonable Doubt, she’ll join McKinley Freeman as “Lewis,” Tim Jo as “Daniel,” and Angela Grovey as “Krystal,” and Power franchise star Joseph Sikora who joins the series as “Bill Sterling” for season 3.

Previously announced recurring guest stars on the new season include Kyle Bary, Rumer Willis, Brandee Evans, Richard Brooks, April Parker Jones, Keith Arthur Bolden, and Kash Doll.

Morris Chestnut, who currently stars on the hit CBS series Watson, will reprise his role as Corey Cash in a recurring guest role.

The drama follows Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) as she deals with past traumas, a struggling marriage, motherhood and taxing criminal cases, all while trying to keep her life together.

The second season followed Jax defending close friend Shanelle (Shannon Kane), who was charged with murder in the death of her abusive husband JT (Christopher Mychael Watson). Now, Jax is looking forward to a quiet future, but it won’t be quiet for long.

Here’s the official description for season 3, “When a former child star finds himself in a heap of trouble, Jax seizes the opportunity to spice up her daily routine. But when her client’s personal life turns out to have all the drama and danger of a Hollywood movie and Jax’s own professional future comes under threat from a charismatic associate at her firm, can Jax clear her client’s name without losing the personal and professional successes she’s worked so hard for?”

Raamla Mohamed created, writes and executive produces the series. Kerry Washington is also an executive producer alongside Pilar Savone, Larry Wilmore, and Anton Cropper.

The series comes from Onyx Collective, a part of Disney that brings projects from creators of color and underrepresented voices to audiences to air on Hulu. The series is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.

Reasonable Doubt was renewed for a third season in November.

Season 3 premieres on Sept. 18 with two episodes, followed by new episodes streaming weekly on Thursdays.
