Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be bringing more film and TV content to Netflix subscribers.
On Monday, Aug. 11, the streaming giant and the couple’s media company, Archewell Productions, announced they’ve signed a new multiyear, first-look deal covering all of Harry and Meghan’s film and television projects.
A first-look deal is an agreement that gives said studio the rights to review and potentially acquire new projects. If the studio doesn’t want to buy the concept, the production company can shop it to others.
Per Netflix, the extended agreement includes season 2 of With Love, Meghan; a special holiday episode of the lifestyle and cooking show; a feature film titled Meet Me at the Lake; a documentary short on Uganda’s Masaka region; and new As Ever products.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” Meghan said in a statement.
“My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision,” she added.

Netflix began its partnership with Archewell in 2020. To date, the production banner has released the docuseries Polo; as well as With Love, Meghan; Heart of Invictus; Harry & Meghan and Live to Lead. Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and Netflix have also partnered on her lifestyle brand, As ever.
“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere,” said Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”
While the docuseries Polo had limited appeal, Harry & Meghan was a big hit. According to Netflix, it’s been viewed 23.4 million times, making it the platform’s fifth most popular docuseries of all time.
Meanwhile, the cooking and lifestyle show With Love, Meghan reached the streamer’s Top 10 lists in 24 countries. The series has so far garnered 5.3 million views.
