‘Play Dirty’ First Look Shows Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield Planning Ultimate Heist

Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield are counting on a big score in the upcoming heist thriller, Play Dirty.

Prime Video released the trailer and photos from the film on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The thriller follows professional thief Parker (Mark Wahlberg), who recruits a new team in an attempt to steal a sunken treasure “worth a billion dollars.”

The treasure is located on a 15th century Spanish ship and it will take a lot of planning to get to the loot.

With help from his partners in crime Grofield (Stanfield) and Zen (Rosa Salazar), Parker takes on the mafia, a billionaire and an army to get to the treasure.

“Shouldn’t be a problem,” Wahlberg says in the trailer as he dodges explosions and gun battles.

The cast also includes Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane, and Tony Shalhoub.

Based on the “Parker” Book Series by Richard Stark, the movie is co-written by Shane Black, Charles Mondry and Anthony Bagarozzi.

Black is the director behind Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3, and The Predator.

Executive producers on the film include Black’s frequent collaborator, Robert Downey Jr., along with Susan Downey, Charles Mondry, and Anthony Bagarozzi.

Play Dirty begins streaming globally Wednesday, Oct. 1 on Prime Video.
