Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer Pinky Cole scored a victory in court this week when a bankruptcy judge ordered a creditor to return possession of a property it seized.
“I feel relieved that the court gave me authority to reclaim my property,” Cole told local news station WSB-TV on Thursday, March 26.
The outlet sent a reporter to U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Atlanta on Thursday as Cole’s attorney argued Guardian Asset Management “violated” an automatic stay when it seized the house, even though the Slutty Vegan founder had filed for bankruptcy protection.
The judge agreed and ordered Guardian to return possession of Cole’s investment property, which is located in the Atlanta suburb of Loganville, Georgia.
Cole filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Feb. 12. Her court filing said she had $1.4 million in debts, including owing $1.2 million to the U.S. Small Business Administration for a COVID recovery loan, and another $192,000 in taxes to the Georgia Department of Revenue.
The entrepreneur, born Aisha Cole, fell behind on mortgage payments and Guardian took control of the house on Feb. 20.
In an emergency court filing on March 19, Cole’s attorney said Guardian “wrongfully” seized the property because the bankruptcy was supposed to halt collection efforts.
The filing said the company changed the locks and “put a notice on a street facing window.” When contacted about its actions, “Guardian refused” to return the property to Cole’s possession, the filing said.
Her attorney argued the company’s actions caused “financial hardship” as Cole works to “pay her creditors through a plan.” She has a tenant lined up to rent the property on April 1, “which will provide much needed income.”
Cole founded the plant-based Slutty Vegan burger company, which boasted 14 locations across the country before she ran into financial problems.
The entrepreneur was sued by a landlord in August 2025, saying she owed more than $87,000 in past due rent and late fees on two of her restaurants in Atlanta.
In February, Bravo announced she signed on to join the season 17 cast of RHOA, which premieres on April 5.
