Belle Collective returns for a sixth season in October, with a new look and a new Belle.
In a press release on Thursday, Sept. 4, OWN unveiled details on the upcoming season, along with a teaser trailer.
The reality series follows a group of Black women entrepreneurs in Jackson, Mississippi. The Southern Belles are making power moves while balancing family and friendships.
Season 6 kicks off Friday, Oct. 3, which just happens to be the same day Sean “Diddy” Combs will be sentenced. While Diddy’s legal troubles have zero to do with the show, the Bad Boy mogul will be THE HOT TOPIC of the day in the entertainment world.
Anyway, the teaser trailer for Belle Collective says the ladies will be back “stronger than ever.”
Returning Belles include Lateshia Pearson, Latrice Rogers, Marie Hamilton-Abston, Selena Johnson, and Tambra Cheri.
Missing will be Aikisha Holly-Colon and husband Willie Colon, who announced they would not return for season 6 during a holiday live stream with series executive producer Carlos King on Dec. 23, 2024.
Aikisha said their attorney had sent a letter to King’s production company. King appeared stunned, but kept things classy and told the couple, “Anytime you guys want to return, the door will always be open for you.”
Then on Dec. 31, Sophia “Sogucci” Williams announced she and her husband JJ Williams had decided to leave following a difficult season 5 reunion.
“Watching the reunion episode was very hard to sit through,” she wrote in a post on the X platform. “I take full accountability for allowing the entertainment of this show to ruin the integrity of my family.”
Hopefully the remaining cast members have been able to put aside any differences they have.
Belle Collective season 6 premieres on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8pm ET/PT on OWN.
