Comedian Nikki Glaser is known for her risqué stand-up routines. While she toned things down on Sunday night for her gig as 2026 Golden Globes host, there was one joke that made Michael B. Jordan and his mom blush.
While ribbing the A-listers seated in the audience at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Glaser turned her attention to Jordan and his dual roles in Sinners.
“In Sinners, Michael B. Jordan played two brothers. Am I allowed the say that? It doesn’t sound right,” said Glaser, who is white.

She then joked about pleasuring herself while watching the vampire thriller.
“He played twins and I can’t believe it. We got two Michael B. Jordans! When I saw that, I was like, Nikki B. Jerkin’, because that was awesome,’ Glaser quipped.
Jordan laughed slightly, although he appeared a little embarrassed. His mom Donna Jordan, who accompanied him to the ceremony, was another story. The camera cut to Donna who rolled her eyes and took a sip of her drink while the audience laughed.
“Your mom, I’m so sorry. I should not have said that to you, that should have been a DM. My mistake,” Glaser quipped.
Overall, the comedian’s monologue got high marks from viewers on social media as she took aim at Golden Globes nominees Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Hart, The Rock, Sean Penn, and herself.
Michael B. Jordan was nominated for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture drama, but the award went to Narcos alum Wagner Moura for his performance in The Secret Agent.
Still, Sinners picked up two other awards — best cinematic and box office achievement, and best original score for composer Ludwig Goransson.
Ryan Coogler, the film’s writer-director, accepted the box office achievement award. During his speech, the filmmaker admitted he feared moviegoers would ignore the thriller.
“I just want to thank the audience for showing up,” Coogler said from the stage.
Before the ceremony got underway, Donna Jordan beamed with pride about her son’s accomplishments.
“Just his commitment and his dedication and his persistence to his craft,” she told E!. “And the messages that he tries to share with everyone with the choices that he makes and the work that he does. I’m very proud of that.”
You can watch Glaser’s monologue here. She talks about Jordan at the 7:50 mark.
