Nicki Minaj has once again expressed admiration for President Trump.
The “Pink Friday” rapper appeared alongside Trump at an event on Wednesday, Jan. 28, detailing the administration’s new $1,000 savings accounts for children program.
Trump caught Minaj off guard by calling her up to the stage. After admitting she wasn’t sure what to say, the hip-hop star heaped praise on POTUS.
“I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj said at the televised event. “And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”
She continued by bashing Trump’s critics.
“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen,” she said.
Wearing a white fur coat and yellow dress, Minaj stood alongside Trump, and ABC’s Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary.
Trump appeared thrilled to have Minaj at the event. He held the rapper’s hand, kissed her on the cheek, and described her as “the greatest and most successful female rapper in history.”
Minaj has pledged between $150,000 and $300,000 to go into accounts for her fans, according to NewsNation.
Several companies have also announced plans to contribute to the accounts, including Bank of America JPMorgan, BlackRock, BNY, Robinhood, SoFi and Charles Schwab.
Dubbed “Trump accounts,” the White House previously said the federally backed, tax-deferred investment accounts are for babies born between 2025 and the end of 2028. The plan is to give children a one-time $1,000 deposit via the Trump administration with the money earning interest as a child gets older.
But investment company Morningstar warns the accounts “lack established regulatory and operational framework needed for implementation. Since the program is new, many details regarding withdrawal taxation, eligibility nuances, specific investments allowed… remain unsettled.”
Wednesday’s appearance was Minaj’s latest show of support for Trump and his administration. In December, she appeared alongside Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, at a Turning Point USA event. After taking the stage, a nervous Minaj said she has the “utmost respect” for Trump, and praised Vice President J.D. Vance.
Kirk asked Minaj why she is becoming more politically active and the rapper talked about embracing Christianity and distancing herself from her detractors.
“I just got tired of being pushed around,” Minaj responded. “So when you’ve had enough, you realize, wait a minute, why do I even care about these people and what they think? Who are they? They don’t even know who they are. So I’m not going to back down anymore. I’m not going to back down ever again.”
