Starz has acquired U.S. rights to international crime thriller The Nowhere Man, starring South African actor Bonko Khoza (The Woman King) and Naturi Naughton-Lewis (Power).
The six-episode series follows a traumatized former special forces mercenary named Lukas (Khoza), who is drawn back into the violent world he left behind after stumbling onto a home invasion and intervening.
“To survive, he will have to come face-to-face with his demons and confront the dark secrets of his old life,” according to the official description.

Naughton-Lewis plays a woman named Ruby, who warns Lukas “you can’t just walk away” after he stepped in to help. The actress is also an executive producer on the series.
“The Nowhere Man represents an exciting evolution for me as both an actress and executive producer, and I’m thrilled to have my company, Take Two Entertainment, as part of this incredible team,” Naughton-Lewis said in a statement on Thursday, Dec. 18.
“It’s especially meaningful to be reunited with my Starz family to tell a bold, action-packed, globally relevant story. I can’t wait for audiences to dive in headfirst,” she added.
The actress and producer is best known to audiences for playing Tasha St. Patrick on the Starz crime series Power, and later on its spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost.
More recently, she had a role on the two-part Lifetime original film series Eric Jerome Dickey’s Friends and Lovers alongside Kendrick Sampson, Simone Missick, and RonReaco Lee. Based on a bestselling book, the movie series about “friendship, passion, and forgiveness” premiered last month on the cable network.
Naughton-Lewis’ new project, The Nowhere Man, is currently streaming on Prime Video in South Africa and will debut in the U.S. in January.
“We’re thrilled to be reunited with Naturi, an extraordinary talent viewers know and love,” said Alison Hoffman, president of Starz Networks. “The Nowhere Man is a powerful addition to our action lineup, and with our audience eager for the next high-octane thrill ride, this show delivers.”
The series was filmed on location in South Africa and created by Motion Story and produced by Phillip Wolmarans and Nick Keulemans. Fred Wolmarans and Gareth Crocker directed, with Crocker serving as showrunner.
The Nowhere Man debuts in the United States only on the Starz app and all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms, starting Friday, Jan. 16, 2026. New episodes will follow weekly.
