Monique Samuels is stepping back into the Bravo spotlight.

The reality star confirmed during an Instagram Live that she’s returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac for season 10, nearly five years after walking away from the show.

“I declined probably a good seven times, and then something happened. Something changed and I was just like hmm. I’m not the person that I was. And a lot of the reasons that I said no was because of the person that I was and I’m not her anymore. So, what better way to test my healing?”

Samuels said fear and PTSD kept her from returning sooner, but she’s in a different place now. “I was built way different then, I’m built a little better now,” she added.

The entrepreneur said she’s in a different space personally and professionally, citing the success of her natural wellness brand, Mila Eve Essentials, and an upcoming book she’s been working on for years.

“I love that you’ll not only be able to see the levels of growth I’ve achieved when you read my book, but you’ll also be able to see it now on TV as well. I have been able to move past that and it’s my season. I’m stepping into my season. I feel like everything that I’ve gone through up until this point has been for this moment and I’m really excited,” she said.

Samuels first joined RHOP in season 2 back in 2017. She exited the show after season 5, following a physical altercation with castmate Candiace Dillard Bassett. At the time, she told fans during an Instagram Live she was “over it.”

She briefly returned to TV in 2022 on OWN’s Love & Marriage: DC alongside her then-husband, former NFL player Chris Samuels. The couple left the show after one season and finalized their divorce in September 2023 after 11 years of marriage. They share three children.

Production for season 10 of RHOP  is currently underway in Maryland, with returning cast members Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Keiarna Stewart, and Stacey Rusch, according to People.
