The new Lifetime thriller I’ll Never Let You Go will bring secrets, sabotage and a wild ride.

Meagan Good executive produced and leads the cast of the film, which premieres Aug. 16.

The actress plays wife, mother and art gallery director Emily Westover, who has an affair with an “unhinged” Italian artist (played by Antonio Cupo), per Lifetime.

Meagan Good was among those attending the rooftop event at a hotel in Santa Monica, California.

The actress spoke with Extra about what fans can expect when the movie debuts.

“You can expect some spiciness. You can expect some sexiness. You can expect some pulling at your heart strings,” she said.

“You can expect a woman making some executive decisions that probably aren’t the best and probably having to recalibrate and get it all together, and then it goes off the effing cliff, in the best way,” she continued.

I’ll Never Let You Go is directed by Troy Scott from a script written by Alex Wright.

Based on real stories, the film premieres Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8/7c on Lifetime.

Media personality Courtney Stodden, who is the subject of the upcoming Lifetime biopic I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story, attended the event as well. The film premieres Sept. 27 at 8/7c.

In 2011 at age 16, Stodden married then-51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison with her parents’ consent and became tabloid fodder. They divorced in 2020.

Stodden, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, now uses they/them pronouns. This week they announced on Instagram that they are “breaking up” with alcohol and focusing on sobriety.

The reality star said they used alcohol “to cope” with the trauma from their past. Moving forward they said, “I’m done feeling sick and ashamed. I want to be fully present in my life. I want to face my past, my trauma, and my current reality with clear eyes and real strength.”
