Loneliness, seduction and sabotage take center stage in the Lifetime thriller I’ll Never Let You Go, starring Meagan Good.
Good leads the cast as “Emily Westover” and also serves as an executive producer on the film.
The trailer opens with Emily saying, “My husband doesn’t even notice me anymore. It’s like we’re living two separate lives.”
A seductive voice replies, “If I was your husband, I would cook for you everyday.”

As seen in the trailer, this all unfolds as Emily’s only child leaves for college. Emily is struggling with empty nest syndrome and has trouble connecting with her husband Tom (played by Thomas Cadro).
Emily is a wife, mother, and art gallery director. She feels disconnected from her husband Tom. Their marriage is strained, and Emily finds herself drawn to Carlo, an intense and “unhinged” Italian artist played by Antonio Cupo, according to the official description.
She tells her husband Tom, “I’m throwing myself at you.” His response, “This is my time now.” That’s what pushes her to have a romantic affair that quickly gets out of control, putting everything she cares about at risk.
Inspired by real stories, when Emily tries to fix her marriage, Carlo refuses to let go. “I want us to be a family,” Carlo says. When he realizes Emily’s family life stands in the way, Carlo warns, “With your family alive, there’s always going to be something keeping us apart.”
In an exchange in the trailer, Emily tells Carlo, “We had an affair. Now it’s over.” He replies, “You can’t get rid of me that easily.”
It is followed by scenes of punches, tears, duck tape, knives, hugs and a list of missed phone calls.
The trailer ends with Emily saying, “Why can’t you get it through your head it’s over? I am not going to let you cost me my family.”
This isn’t Good’s first role as executive producer. She has also starred in and produced other Lifetime projects like Death Saved My Life (2021), Buying Back My Daughter (2023), and Terry McMillan Presents: Forever (2024).
Produced by Bruce Harvey for CMW Autumn Productions Inc in association with Studio TF1 America, the romantic thriller is directed by Troy Scott and written by Alex Wright. Joey Plager is also credited as executive producer.
I’ll Never Let You Go premieres Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8/7c on Lifetime.
