At a recent red carpet event in Burbank, California, Shanice told Urban Hollywood 411 she welcomed the chance to take on a different type of role.

According to the official description, “When the children of two feuding musical legends are forced to collaborate on a holiday song remake, their rivalry turns into an unexpected romance. But with family legacies, unresolved grudges, and a ticking Christmas Eve deadline, they must learn to harmonize on and off the stage.”

The ensemble cast also includes Taylor Symone as “Bailey Gates,” E. Roger Mitchell as “Gene Taylor,” Towanda Braxton as “Christine Carter,” KB Holland as “Tremaine Gates,” Kyler Chavis as “Jessica,” Gail Everett-Smith as “Granny Leah,” Gerard Catus as “Isaac,” Ryan James as “Aries Jackson,” and Elijah Resurreccion as “Eli.”

Cas Sigers created, directed, and wrote the film alongside executive producers Ty Johnston-Chavis and Errol Sadler.

The score is composed by Jamie Coleman, with original music performed by Kenny Lattimore and Shanice.
