Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are going their separate ways after 11 years of marriage.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum confirmed she decided to file for divorce in a statement to People on Friday, Nov. 21.

“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Kandi said.

“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family,” she added.

Todd posted a cryptic quote from the Instagram account @Ezuiequotes on his Instagram Story on Friday morning, saying: “You are the CEO of your life. Hire, fire and promote accordingly.”

The divorce announcement came after widespread speculation online that the two had split up.

Earlier in the day, the website Reality Tea reported there were “multiple pieces of evidence” Kandi and Todd’s marriage was over. The site noted Kandi removed Todd’s last name from her Instagram profile. Among other signs, it said she was not wearing her wedding ring last weekend at the BravoCon 2025 fan convention in Las Vegas, which ran from Nov. 14-16.

Todd was absent when the restaurateur, actress, and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter picked up Bravo’s “Wifetime Achievement Award” for her successful run on Bravo as a star on RHOA; Kandi & the Gang; Xscape: Still Kickin’ It; Kandi Koated Nights; and The Kandi Factory.

Although Kandi did thank her estranged husband in her tearful acceptance speech.

“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions,” she said. “You earned this award too.”

Burruss, 49, and Tucker, 52, met while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011. They announced their engagement in 2013, and married the following year.

Tucker worked as a production manager on the show, while Burruss was a member of the cast from 2009 to 2024.

After marrying, they produced a string of independent films together and were co-producers on the 2022 Broadway revival of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson.

“We couldn’t be more honored and excited to join the producing team of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson,” the pair said in a statement in May 2022. “As we continue to push to diversify the Broadway audience, this all-star team and cast is a dream come true for our next venture on Broadway.”

The production earned them a Tony nomination for best revival of a play.

Kandi and Todd share two children together, son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaze, 5. Each also has an older daughter from previous relationships: Burruss’ daughter Riley, 20, and Tucker’s daughter Kaela, 26.
