A new round of celebrity recruits are ready to get their hands dirty and test their limit on the upcoming season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
The Fox network has revealed the lineup for season 4 of the intense training competition, featuring 18 new celebrities from TV, sports and entertainment.
Among them are actor Jussie Smollett (Empire), NBA champion Nick Young, actress and model Eva Marcille, and Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who will compete alongside her daughter Gia Giudice.
For the first time, some recruits will arrive in pairs, including spouses and family members, though each will compete individually.
This season’s training ground is Morocco, where the celebrities will face extreme urban warfare challenges inspired by real special forces selection process.
All recruits must learn the art of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable as they are faced with training challenges across the country’s expansive desert terrain, according to the network.
Some tasks will include a supply search in an abandoned village, a tunnel rat-run, an underwater escape drill inside a submerged plane shell, and a 50-foot urban ladder crossing between buildings.
The official description says that in “this experiment, there are no votes and no eliminations — just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn the meaning of “no guts, no glory” – and no glam.”
That’s because the only way out of the competition is to quit voluntarily, fail a challenge, get injured, or be removed by the directing staff.
Guiding the celebs through missions are ex-special forces operatives Rudy Reyes, Mark “Billy” Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox, and Jovon “Q” Quarles.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is produced by Minnow Films with Becky Clarke, Liam Humphreys, and Dave Sutton as executive producers.
The new season premieres Thursday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
