A new round of celebrity recruits will get their hands dirty and test their limits on the upcoming season of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

The network recently revealed the lineup for season 4 of the intense training competition, with 18 new celebrities from TV, sports and entertainment.

The new cast includes former Empire actor Jussie Smollett, who is returning to Fox six years after he was charged with making a false police report over an alleged homophobic attack in Chicago on Jan. 29, 2019.

Smollett was written out of the final episodes of Empire during his legal battle. In May 2025, he settled a civil lawsuit with the city of Chicago.

Other new cast members on Special Forces will include All the Queen’s Men star and The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Eva Marcille; and former Golden State Warriors champion Nick Young.

For the first time, some recruits will arrive in pairs, including spouses and family members, though each will compete individually.

The family members include Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her daughter Gia Giudice.

This season’s training ground is Morocco, where the celebrities will face extreme urban warfare challenges inspired by a real special forces selection process.

All recruits must learn the art of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable as they are faced with training challenges across the country’s expansive desert terrain, according to the network.

Some tasks will include a supply search in an abandoned village, a tunnel rat-run, an underwater escape drill inside a submerged plane shell, and a 50-foot urban ladder crossing between buildings.

The official description says that in “this experiment, there are no votes and no eliminations — just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn the meaning of “no guts, no glory” – and no glam.”

That’s because the only way out of the competition is to quit voluntarily, fail a challenge, get injured, or be removed by the directing staff.

Guiding the celebs through missions are ex-special forces operatives Rudy Reyes, Mark “Billy” Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox, and Jovon “Q” Quarles.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is produced by Minnow Films with Becky Clarke, Liam Humphreys, and Dave Sutton as executive producers.

The new season premieres Thursday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
