The Jennifer Hudson Show will return for a fifth season, Telepictures and Fox Television Stations announced Thursday.

The daytime talk show will continue to air on Fox-owned local stations through the 2026-2027 season.

Host Jennifer Hudson celebrated the renewal by thanking the show’s production staff and viewers at home.

“I could not be more honored to continue this journey alongside a phenomenal group of brilliant producers, dedicated crew, and collaborative partners,” Hudson said in a statement.

“It is such a joy to connect with people in meaningful ways every day across this country and to share stories of heart and inspiration, all while bringing entertainment into people’s lives,” she added. “None of this would be possible without our incredible audience. They are the heartbeat of the show, and I am so excited to take this to new heights in season 5!”

The renewal came amid an increase in the show’s ratings. For the current 2025–26 season, the daytime talker has seen year-over-year growth among Adults 25–54. The number of female viewers between ages 25–54 rose 10 percent.

The show films in Burbank, California on the Warner Bros. lot, and features interviews, musical performances, and Spirit Tunnel moments with the staff cheering on celebrities as they dance down a hallway toward the set.

The Jennifer Hudson Show is produced by JHUD Productions and Telepictures, a division of Warner Bros. Television Group.

In addition to hosting, Hudson serves as an executive producer alongside Andy Lassner, Corey Palent, Graehme Morphy, and Walter Williams III.

The show secured a renewal as daytime TV undergoes a seismic shift. Earlier this month, both Sherri and The Kelly Clarkson Show were canceled.

On Feb. 2, host Kelly Clarkson announced her self-titled talk show will end after its current seventh season. In a statement, Clarkson said she wants to spend more time with her family.

“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she stated.

The show films in New York and is produced by Universal Television.

That same day, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury announced Sherri will end after its current fourth season, saying the decision was based on the “evolving daytime television landscape.”

The show films in New York, and launched in fall 2022. Host Sherri Shepherd told viewers she’s determined to keep the program going.

“I want to be clear. I’m not ready to throw in the towel on this show just yet. I’m not,” she said on the show. “We’re going to be airing episodes all through the fall and we’re going to continue to fight to keep the show alive in some way, shape or form.”
