Iyanla: Fix My Life was one of the most popular shows on OWN. Led by spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant, the unscripted series helped families and celebrities address relationship struggles, generational trauma, and addiction.

The show ended after ten seasons in 2021, when Vanzant decided to walk away because of stress from filming and dealing with “mean and nasty” people, she said.

Now Vanzant is returning to the cable network with Iyanla: The Inside Fix, as she takes a fresh look at some of the most memorable episodes from the original show.

All About Iyanla: The Inside Fix
The new show re-examines popular episodes of the original series, and offer “deeper reflections and renewed insights into the healing journeys that moved millions,” according to OWN.

Vanzant is returning as host and in a statement said the new show will focus on addressing “internal” conflicts.

“This is the moment where the noise fades, the demands disappear, the people disappear, and the only work left is the work within,” she explained. “This is where healing becomes holy. This is where truth finds its home. This… is The Inside Fix.”

What is the release date?
Iyanla: The Inside Fix is scheduled to premiere Saturday, Jan. 17 at 8pm ET/PT on OWN.

The network has said the show will revisit 12 episodes from the original series, including the Six Brown Chicks confrontation from the “Fix My Backstabbing Friends” installment. The show is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions for OWN.

Is there a trailer?
Yes. OWN released the trailer on Dec. 22. The video shows Vanzant with a suitcase. She turns to the camera and says, “I’ve come to unpack.”

The teaser features confrontations and meltdowns from the original series, including an episode featuring Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Shereé Whitfield sitting down with her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield.

Vanzant says in the video that her new show will offer a fresh look at “the stories, the teachings, and the wisdom of Fix My Life.” The author and life coach adds that she’ll “offer guidance and practices that will help us all do our work for the times we are living in today.”
