Did Gary Coleman’s ex-wife Shannon Price have something to do with his death?
There have always been questions. Now a lie detector examination administered for the new A&E show, Lie Detector: Truth or Deception, has revealed Price “failed” when questioned about the circumstances surrounding Coleman’s death.
Best known as the star of TV comedy Diff’rent Strokes, Coleman was 42 years old when he died on May 28, 2010, from complications allegedly caused by a fall at his home in Utah.
The diminutive actor and Price were married in August 2007, divorcing the following year while continuing to live together. Price has long claimed that she found Coleman in a pool of blood after his fall. The death was ultimately ruled accidental.

Price submitted to a polygraph test for the new series, which premieres July 10.
In a preview video obtained by Entertainment Tonight, she is shown being asked questions and given the results of the test, which were ruled “inconclusive,” with “deception indicated.”
The lie detector test addressed three questions to Price: whether she ever struck Coleman, whether she withheld proper aid after his fall, and whether she physically caused Coleman’s fall.
After being told the test showed she was “not completely honest,” Price said she was “not surprised” by the results. But she added, “I know where I’m at. I’m at peace. There is a reason I’m not in prison. There is a legit reason for that. It’s because they did a thorough investigation.”
Former FBI agent and veteran polygraph examiner George Olivo administered the lie test. Although it should be noted that polygraph tests are generally inadmissible in court because of concerns over reliability.
Lie Detector: Truth or Deception is hosted by former CNN anchor Tony Harris.
The series premieres Thursday, July 10 with a special two-hour premiere at 9pm ET/PT on A&E. New episodes air Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT beginning July 17.
