Floyd Roger Myers Jr. Dies: ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Child Actor Was 42

Former child star Floyd Roger Myers Jr. has died, his family confirmed. He was 42.

Myers was found dead on Wednesday, Oct. 29, his mother Renee Trice told TMZ.

He passed away early Wednesday morning from a heart attack at his home in Maryland, Trice said.

She added that her son had a number of health problems, and suffered three previous heart attacks in the years leading up to this death.

Myers played a young Will in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1992.

That same year, he had a role as a young Marlon Jackson in The Jacksons: An American Dream, a television miniseries that starred Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Angela Bassett, Holly Robinson Peete, and Margaret Avery.

Myers also played a student in an episode of Young Americans in 2000 before pivoting away from acting, according to his IMDb page.

He would later open a duct cleaning business in the Washington, D.C. area, and frequently shared pictures of himself working on social media.

He addionally co-founded The Fellaship Men’s Group, which focuses on “Empowering men to lead, heal & thrive,” according to the group’s Instagram page.

The organization confirmed his death in a social media post Wednesday.

“RIP to our good brother @rocwonder, one of our co founders. Gone but never will be forgotten. The mission will continue in your honor. Next men’s meeting will be one for the books like we talked about! Love you bro, rest easy, big bro will take it from here,” the post read.

Myers is survived by his four children, Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox. His sister, Tyree Trice, set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for his family.

“He was a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met,” read a statement on the page.
