The Gray House will take viewers to the 1800s, when a spy network made up of women helped tilt the Civil War in favor of the North.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Prime Video released first-look photos of the miniseries from executive producers Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner.
The eight-episode drama will be released in February, and features an ensemble cast led by Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Daisy Head (Harlots), Amethyst Davis (Kindred), and Ben Vereen (Roots).
Based on real events, the drama centers on four Southern women who risked their lives during the Civil War by transforming an underground railroad into a spy network to undermine Confederate power and aid the North in the fight.

The women are a Virginia socialite, her mother, a formerly enslaved ally, and an infamous Richmond sex worker, who quietly fought behind the scenes.
The cast also includes Paul Anderson, Ian Duff, Hannah James, Robert Knepper, Christopher McDonald, Colin Morgan, Rob Morrow, Colin O’Donoghue, Sam Trammell, and Keith David.
The historical drama made the festival circuit in 2024, and was acquired by Amazon Prime Video earlier this year.
Roland Joffe directed the series from a script written by Leslie Greif, Darrell Fetty, and John Sayles. Executive producers include Lori McCreary, Rod Lake, Howard Kaplan, and Leslie Greif.
The soundtrack features original songs performed by Yolanda Adams, Killer Mike, Lainey Wilson, Drake Milligan, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Jon Bon Jovi, The War and Treaty, Larkin Poe, Scott Stapp, Adrienne Warren, and more.
John Debney and Bruce Broughton composed the music for the series.
The drama comes from Republic Pictures, and was produced with Costner’s Territory Pictures, Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment, and Leslie Greif’s Big Dreams Entertainment.
All eight episodes of The Gray House begin streaming on Prime Video Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
