Don Lemon is furious people continue to support Kanye “Ye” West.
The former CNN anchor took aim at Ye on the Tuesday, April 7 episode of his self-titled YouTube show.
Lemon dedicated an entire segment to the rapper and the estimated 140,000 fans who attended his two sold-out concerts last week at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
“Kanye is a whole minstrel show,” Lemon said. “Kanye is a whole bigot. Kanye is a whole antisemite. Kanye is a whole anti-Black folks with that Trump support s–t.”

The news anchor questioned why fans continue to support the rapper, who has made numerous antisemitic comments and insulted Black people by wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt and claiming slavery was a “choice.”
Lemon showed a picture from West’s controversial visit to the White House in October 2018, when the rapper said he felt like “Superman” after he put on a red “Make America Great Again” hat.
“Do you know what wearing the MAGA hat and going into the Oval Office [mean]? Do you know how detrimental that is to Black people?” Lemon said.
He railed against the “Stronger” rapper and said he should be canceled like R. Kelly, who is serving decades in federal prison following his 2021 conviction on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Lemon showed a list of celebrities who attended Ye’s Southern California concerts — including Dave Chappelle, SZA and influencer-turned-politician Jason Lee, who frequently appears on Lemon’s show.
“Do what you want, fine! But know that you’re going to be called out because if you are standing for Kanye, you’re standing for Trump,” the journalist said.
Urban Hollywood 411 interviewed Lemon last month on the red carpet at the 12th Annual Truth Awards, where he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for “unwavering dedication to journalism that informs, challenges, and inspires change.”
Lemon sounded an alarm about Trump and said he believes the president will do anything to stay in power.
“I’m worried about the administration that we have now and what they will do in order to steal elections and to continue us on this terrible path,” he said.
“I’m hoping people start now to make sure that they have everything they need when they go into the voting booth in November, so that we can get rid of this tyrannical administration and get back to some decency, normalcy, and keep our republic intact,” Lemon added.
