Sean “Diddy” Combs just had nearly two months shaved off of his prison sentence and he’s apparently counting down the days until he can party like a rock star.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, the music mogul’s release date was recently moved up to April 25, 2028, from June 4, 2028.

The decision to reduce his sentence was based on his acceptance into the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) at Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix in New Jersey.

British journalist Rob Shuter, who formerly worked as a publicist for Diddy, posted in his Substack newsletter on March 3, that the mogul is planning a “party to end all parties” to celebrate his release.

“I’ve worked with Diddy. And if there’s one thing I know about him, it’s this: disappearing has never been his style,” Shuter wrote.

A source close to the Bad Boy Records founder told Shuter the mogul wants a celebration that would put his white parties to shame.

“He wants the biggest release party he’s ever thrown,” the source said. “Bigger than the white parties. Bigger than anything. He wants it to feel like a coronation.”

On Oct. 3, 2025, the “Last Night” rapper and producer was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison following his conviction under the Mann Act for transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

He was credited with time served for the 13 months he spent in a New York City jail awaiting trial and sentencing.

The mogul’s legal team requested he serve his term at FCI Fort Dix because of its rehabilitation program, as well as “educational and occupational programs,” as previously reported.

According to the BOP website, “RDAP is the Bureau’s most intensive treatment program.” Participation usually lasts about nine months and can lead to a reduced sentence.

Diddy’s release date was first set for May 8, 2028, but it was pushed back one month to June 4, 2028, after he was reportedly caught consuming “homemade alcohol.”

Sources told TMZ the alcohol was made of Fanta soda, sugar and apples, which inmates give two weeks to ferment before drinking. Similar concoctions are often referred to as “toilet wine,” “prison hooch,” or “pruno.”

A spokesperson for the mogul disputed claims that he had run into trouble with prison brass.

“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue,” said Juda Engelmayer. “We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
