Diana Ross will ring in the new year as headliner of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026.
The music legend has been booked to deliver a live performance from Times Square in the countdown to 2026, ABC and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Over the decades, the songstress scored 12 Billboard Hot 100 hits with The Supremes and six solo Hot 100 No. 1 singles. She is is expected to perform a medley of her hits, including “I’m Coming Out” and “Upside Down.”
“Let’s embrace a new beginning, new opportunities, new joy – a celebration of love, where we all come together as we begin 2026,” the singer said in a statement.

Ross, 81, joins a star-studded roster of previously announced performers on the ABC special.
The list of performers includes 50 Cent, 6lack, AJR, BigXthaPlug, Chance the Rapper, Charlie Puth, Chappell Roan, Ciara, Demi Lovato, Filmore, OneRepublic, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
Also taking the stage will be 4 Non Blondes, Jess Glynne, Jessie Murph, Jordan Davis, KPop Demon Hunters: The Singing Voices of HUNTR/X – EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, Leon Thomas, LE SSERAFIM, Lil Jon, Little Big Town, Madison Beer, Maren Morris, Pitbull, Post Malone, Rick Springfield, Russell Dickerson, The All-American Rejects, Tucker Wetmore, and Zara Larsson.
Music legends Mariah Carey and New Kids on the Block will perform as well. And DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live! will feature Busta Rhymes, T.I. & Wyclef Jean.
ABC says 2026 will bring the longest NYRE broadcast ever, with performers taking the stage in New York City, Las Vegas, Chicago and Puerto Rico.
Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora return as hosts from Times Square in New York. Chance the Rapper will emcee the Central Time Zone countdown in Chicago.
Dick Clark Productions is producing the broadcast. Ryan Seacrest, Michael Dempsey, and Barry Adelman serve as executive producers.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026 airs live on Tuesday, Dec. 31, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST. The show will also be available to stream live on the iHeartRadio app.
