Cross will return for a second season with new action and several new cast members.
Prime Video announced details about the upcoming season of the police drama in a press release, after New York Comic Con 2025 attendees were treated to a first look at the teaser trailer last week. The teaser shows Alex Cross getting a dire warning about avoiding danger to “stay alive.”
The eight-episode second season debuts on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, with three episodes. Then, a new episode will follow each week leading up to the season finale on March 18.
Based on characters from James Patterson’s best-selling book series, the thriller features Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, a Washington, D.C. homicide detective and forensic psychologist, who gets into the minds of killers to identify and catch them.
