Brandy is set to be honored by Issa Rae and Babyface this month on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The “Never Say Never” singer and actress will be recognized in the Recording category, with the 2,839th star on the famous landmark on March 30.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome performer Brandy to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.
“Brandy has captivated audiences for decades with a voice and artistry that helped shape modern R&B and inspire generations of performers,” Martinez added. “Honoring her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a celebration of not only her extraordinary music career, but also her lasting impact on television, film, and popular culture.
The singer, actress and producer was born Brandy Norwood in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Carson, California.
The Grammy-winning artist has been bringing music to audiences since the 1990s. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1994, and sold more than 4 million copies, according to Best Selling Albums.
She followed it up with the sophomore album Never Say Never, which reached Diamond status after selling more than 15 million copies worldwide.
Her single “The Boy Is Mine” with Monica spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains one of the most successful collaborations in music history. The two singers reunited for a multi-city arena tour in October 2025.
Brandy has also had a successful acting career. From 1996 to 2001, she starred in the popular UPN sitcom, Moesha, and later had roles on the television series Star, The Game, Queens, Drop Dead Diva, and Zoe Ever After.
The singer made history in 1997, when Whitney Houston personally selected her to play Cinderella in Disney’s TV adaptation of Cinderella, making Brandy the first African-American actress to play the iconic character for a national audience.
In December 2025, she executive produced and co-starred alongside her daughter Sy’Rai Smith in the Lifetime movie Christmas Everyday.
Brandy will be celebrated on the Walk of Fame Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:30 AM PT, at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
