A body found earlier this month in the trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd has been identified as a missing 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Officer released the teenager’s name and age on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Her cause of death was listed as “deferred” pending additional tests, the coroner’s office said on its website.
The medical examiner told the media Rivas had the letters “Shhh” tattooed on her right index finger.

The body was found on Sept. 8, as Urban Hollywood 411 previously reported.
The LAPD responded to a tow yard in the 1000 block of North Mansfield Ave. in Los Angeles.
Officers found the body in the trunk of a 2023 Tesla that had been towed to the lot from the Hollywood Hills.
Police said the city’s Department of Transportation took the vehicle to an “official police garage” because it was “parked on a public street for more than 72 hours.”
Employees at the impound lot reported a strong odor coming from the Tesla, NBC Los Angeles reported. Officers opened the front trunk, and found a bag inside containing human remains.
Multiple media outlets reported the remains “were not intact” and had been dismembered.
The medical examiner’s office previously told the media the body was that of a woman with wavy black hair. She was described as 5-feet-2 inches tall and weighed 71 pounds.
The Tesla was registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
The 20-year-old singer-songwriter is best known for the viral social media hits “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” which currently has 1.6 billion streams on Spotify. He released the album Withered earlier this year.
D4vd’s Apple Music page says he was born in Queens, New York in 2005. After moving to Texas, he began making music that’s described as a combination of “bedroom pop, R&B and alternative rock.” The gaming insider inked a deal with Epic Games to release “Locked & Loaded (Official Fortnite anthem).”
Just days before the body was found in his Tesla, the singer told Variety the Fortnite anthem deal was a dream come true.
“Fortnite has been such a big part of my life and it’s what led me to make music in the first place,” D4vd said. “Being able to create the official anthem for Fortnite feels like a true full-circle moment. Fortnite gave me a space to be creative and connect with people all over the world.”
As local media outlets cover the case of the deceased teenager, NBC Los Angeles interviewed her brother, Matthew Rivas. He said Celeste knew D4vd and had been on her way to see a movie with him in 2024, when she vanished.
The outlet contacted D4vd’s publicist and attorney for comment, but there was no response.
Celeste was from Lake Elsinore, California, outside of Anaheim, and was last seen on April 5, 2024.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office released a missing person’s poster containing her pictures, but she was never found alive.
TMZ on Wednesday reported D4vd canceled a show in Seattle, where he was scheduled to perform tonight.
The outlet also a posted a picture of the singer on stage at a previous performance, showing he also has a tattoo on one of his finger’s saying “Shhh.”
TMZ said it spoke with Celeste’s mother after receiving “a tip last week that Celeste was the victim.”
She said the teenager had a boyfriend named David. She grew concerned after hearing that the body of the victim found in the Tesla had a “Shhh” tattoo. At that point, the outlet said it contacted the LAPD and connected detectives with the mom.
