The announcement this week that production was paused on The Real Housewives of Miami left fans disappointed. Now, executive producer Andy Cohen has chimed in with a glimmer of hope.

While devoted viewers love RHOM, it’s the lowest rated show in the Real Housewives franchise.

Season 7 ended in October 2025, and an eighth season had been uncertain. Then on March 18, Page Six  and Reality Blurb reported Bravo was halting production “amid low ratings.”

Insiders spilled to Reality Blurb that several factors went into the decision to shut down production on RHOM, including the ratings, “trouble with casting,” and the $10 million defamation lawsuit filed in October against Bravo and NBCUniversal by Todd Nepola, ex-husband of cast member Alexia Nepola, over his portrayal on the show.

Viewers have been sounding off on social media since news of the pause first broke. This morning Cohen responded to a fan on Threads, saying all may not be lost.

“Andy still super bummed about RHOM getting paused. They didn’t deserve that,” a viewer using the handle @debvil_ wrote.

“Me too. It will be back though!” Cohen responded.

RHOM cast member Lisa Hochstein re-shared Cohen’s comment in an Instagram Story.

Set to the DMX single “We Right Here,” she captioned the post “Patience….”

Hochstein, Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, and newcomer Stephanie Shojaee made up the season 7 cast, along with friends Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton and Kiki Barth.

This marks the second time Bravo has shelved the series. After launching in 2011, the network canceled the show in 2013. Peacock brought it back in 2021, and it later returned to Bravo.

Kiki Barth shared a statement on Instagram this morning praising the show’s diverse cast, while expressing disappointment that production was halted.

“I’m really proud of what we’ve built with the reboot of The Real Housewives of Miami over the last four seasons,” she began. “Being able to show my Haitian background to the world means so much to me, and I’m proud to be part of a cast that brings together so many different perspectives.”

She added, “Of course, I’m disappointed. I truly feel like I was just getting started, and the audience hasn’t really seen my full story yet,” she continued. “What we’ve built in Miami matters—and I know the audience feels that. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and show up for us. I’m excited for what’s ahead. Love, Kiki.”
