‘All the Queen’s Men’ Canceled by BET, Creator Christian Keyes Says

There’s apparently been more drama behind the scenes of All The Queen’s Men than on screen.

Christian Keyes created the series, which is produced by Tyler Perry Studios (TPS). Keyes recently went public to detail tensions on set, and said BET is canceling the strip club drama.

“I was recently told that after season five of my show, #AllTheQueensMen will not be coming back to BET or TPS,” Keyes captioned a video of himself playing a tiny violin as dramatic music ran in the background.

BET declined comment when contacted by Urban Hollywood 411.

Season 4 of All The Queen’s Men concluded in September 2025 on BET+, and so far there’s been no word on a fifth season. Keyes said season 5 was already filmed before he learned the show would end.

Still, the producer, writer and actor said he plans to shop the series elsewhere.

“The good news is that there are already multiple, wonderful studios and streaming companies interested in the prequels, and the spin off show,” Keyes said in the video. “So, the ATQM universe will continue, there will be a couple of definite casting changes, but the show will go on. ATQM will just end up somewhere amazing, with quality leadership and accountability.”

The “accountability” comment was a dig at TPS, which produces the series under its scripted development division called Pitch Black Development LLC.

In another video, Keyes said he wrote the first season of the show, which was based on his book “Ladies Night.” But after that, he alleged co-executive producer Tyler Perry tried to wrestle away creative control.

“I got one show. You got 16 or 17. Why have your studio try to take my created by credit so you can get credit for this?” Keyes said, referring to Perry. “You didn’t build this and God ain’t let it happen.”

He added, “I wrote the book and I wrote the show. I wrote the pilot, I created the show. I wrote the first season.”

Keyes said he initially planned for each episode to be 30-minutes long. But he revealed the scripts were re-written, without his permission, to extend the episodes to an hour.

“Unbeknownst to me, boss man went in there and added 10 or 15 minutes to each episode,” Keyes said referring to Perry. “Then for season 2 and season 3, he just showed up… and I didn’t get a chance to contribute and that’s when it got real weird.”

Keyes insisted the quality of the show declined as a result of the changes.

“Season 2 and season 3 is when All The Queen’s Men got weird. Dudes started getting raped… and all that weird s–t. Don’t nobody wanna see that s–t…Put that bulls–t on your show,” he said.

Keyes also alleged that the show credits were changed behind his back. In response, he said he filed a complaint with the Writers Guild of America.

“I had to call the WGA, the writer’s guild, and asked them to please force the studio to honor our contract and give me my created by credit and put it back in every show that they took it out of,” he said. They made them put it back.”

All the Queen’s Men premiered in 2021 and became an instant hit. Eva Marcille stars as Marilyn “Madam” DeVille, who runs a thriving nightclub of male exotic dancers called Eden.

The cast also includes Skyh Alvester Black, Candace Maxwell, Michael Bolwaire, Racquel Palmer, Keith Swift, Dion Rome, Jeremy Williams, Oshea Russell, Carter the Body, and Keyes as Raphael “The Concierge” Damascus.

Season 4 premiered in November 2024, with the second half of the season debuting in July 2025.

But Keyes released a previous statement on social media saying he was never informed about the season 4 release date or the trailer.

“It is continuously disappointing to find out that your show is coming back on the internet instead of finding out from the network,” Keyes said in June 2025 via Vibe.

“I’ve mentioned that in previous seasons and it’s still happening or to see the trailer online and have to go search for [it], so I can try and download the trailer for the hit show that I created for this studio and this network instead of getting it sent when everybody else is getting theirs,” he added.
