Carla Jeffery Dies: Actress Known for Disney’s ‘Zombies’ Franchise Was 33

Zombies actress Carla Jeffery has died at the age of 33, according to her longtime talent agency.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” Alexanders Talent Management said in a statement posted on Jeffery’s verified Instagram account.

A cause of death was not immediately released for the former child star.

The agency said it had represented Jeffery since she was 12 and reflected on watching her grow from a young performer into an accomplished adult actress.

“For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light any room,” the statement read. “As Bree in Disney’s hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor and bright spirit with audiences around the world.”

Jeffery originated the role of Bree in the 2018 Disney Channel movie Zombies. She returned for two sequels and had a voice role in the  animated series based on the musical franchise.

Alexanders Talent Management said Jeffery was more than a client, noting she was like family.

“Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time,” the agency added, while asking the public to respect the family’s privacy as they grieve.

Jeffery made her big screen debut in the 2006 comedy Phat Girlz. She went on to appear in several TV shows, including iCarly, Southland, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Men of a Certain Age, Suburgatory, and Good Luck Charlie.

Disney Entertainment also remembered Jeffery in a statement released Wednesday, Sept. 2.

“Carla Jeffery’s extraordinary talent, warmth and spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of working with her,” the statement read. “She had a rare gift for connecting with audiences, and her performances brought joy to millions.”

Disney praised Jeffery for “her generosity, her humor and the genuine light she brought to those around her” before offering condolences to her family, friends, castmates, collaborators and fans.
