Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hip-hop pioneers Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are about to cement their place in Hollywood history with a star on the Walk of Fame.

The group will be honored on July 8, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced this week. Los Angeles radio legend Big Boy is set to host the ceremony and rapper Xzibit will deliver remarks.

In a statement, the group members called being added to the Walk of Fame “a blessing beyond words.”

“Coming from Cleveland, we never imagined that the music we created would touch so many lives around the world,” the group said. “This honor belongs not only to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, but to our families, our city, our fans, and everyone who believed in us from the beginning.”

Formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1991, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is made up of Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone. The members are considered pioneers of rap-singing and the “chopper” style of hip hop, known for fast-paced rhyming.

The group gained national prominence with their 1994 EP Creepin on ah Come Up, which included the hits “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Foe tha Love of $.”

In 1995, they released E. 1999 Eternal, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the singles “Tha Crossroads,” “1st of tha Month,” and “East 1999.”

Since hitting the music scene, the group has sold more than 60 million records worldwide. They’ve also been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won the Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group trophy in 1997 for “Tha Crosswords,” according to Grammy.com.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will receive the 2,851st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, honoring their contributions to the recording industry.

The star will be unveiled at 6126 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles on July 8 at 11:30 a.m. PT, just days before the group kicks off its 2026 tour.  The ceremony will stream live on YouTube and at www.walkoffame.com.
