Caleb Flynn, a music worship leader, who competed on season 12 of American Idol, is now in police custody, charged with killing his wife.

Ashley Flynn, 37, was found dead inside the couple’s home in Tipp City, Ohio, on Monday, Feb. 16.

TMZ obtained a copy of the frantic call Caleb Flynn made to 911.

“Somebody broke in my home and shot my wife!” he said. “Please, please hurry, please hurry. My wife is dead. She’s got two shots to her head. There’s blood everywhere, Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!”

Flynn, 39, told the dispatcher he wasn’t sure if the alleged intruder was still inside the home.

“The door to the garage was wide open. Please hurry, please,” he said.

Flynn said his wife’s body was “in the bed,” and the couple’s daughters were at home.

“I was with the children when it happened. They’re in their room, they’re not even awake,” he continued.

Three days later, Flynn was taken into custody on Feb. 19. Police accused him of shooting Ashley, then “staging the crime scene” to make it look like a burglary.

He was charged with murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Department’s inmate records website.

“As a result of the investigation, probable cause existed to charge Caleb Flynn with the murder of his wife. Due to the ongoing nature of this case, specific investigative details will not be released at this time,” Tipp City Police Chief Greg Adkins told the Dayton Daily News.

Flynn made his first court appearance on Friday and pleaded not guilty.

“I just want to take care of my daughters. I’m not a risk,” he told the judge at his arraignment. His bond was set at $2 million.

His attorney accused police of rushing to judgement, saying the case had not been thoroughly investigated before officers made an arrest.

“It’s disturbing the speed at which this occurred,” said defense attorney L. Patrick Mulligan. “I question the thoroughness” of the investigation.

Mulligan also called the bond amount “unnecessarily high,” and said he was trying to get it reduced.

Ashley was a volleyball coach and substitute teacher in the Tipp City school system.

Flynn was a pastor and music worship leader, according to news reports.

He competed on American Idol in 2013, but did not make it past Hollywood Week. In his audition video he described himself as a music pastor, adding: “I love the Lord.”
