Kelly Jenrette is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming Netflix thriller series, All the Sinners Bleed.
The Emmy-nominated actress will appear in a recurring guest role as “Helen Crown,” the streaming service announced Thursday.
Jenrette’s previous credits include the television shows The Handmaid’s Tale; All American: Homecoming; Grey’s Anatomy; This Is Us; Found; and Mixed-ish. She also had a role in the 2020 Netflix film All Day and a Night.
The actress joins Sope Dirisu, John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortés, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George in All the Sinners Bleed.
Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther and All Day and a Night) serves as showrunner, executive producer, and directs multiple episodes.
The series is an adaptation of a bestselling novel by the same name from S.A. Cosby.
All the Sinners Bleed tells the story of a Black sheriff named Titus Crown.
“Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer that has been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God,” according to the official description.
Recurring stars include Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Donald Elise Watkins, Mackenzie Astin, Jordan M. Cox, Cullen Moss, Angus O’Brien, Cranston Johnson, Christopher Matthew Cook, Christopher Thornton, and Bill Oberst Jr. Amy Madigan guest stars.
All The Sinners Bleed is the latest project from former President Barack Obama and wife Michelle’s Higher Ground Productions, via their creative partnership with Netflix.
Higher Ground and Amblin Television are executive producing alongside S.A. Cosby.
The drama is currently filming in Atlanta. A premiere date will be announced later.
