A fourth season of TV One’s autobiographical series Uncensored will premiere at the end of this month, to tell behind-the-scenes stories of well-known entertainment figures.
The cable network released a teaser trailer Tuesday for the new season that will feature Swizz Beatz, Loretta Devine, BeBe Winans, Tommy Davidson and Kym Whitley.
“I don’t know what icon means to a lot of people, but I know what legends are,” Devine says in the promo.
Most recently, Swizz Beatz helped produce a tribute to his close friend DMX at the BET Awards in June. Devine appeared in Netflix’s 2019 film A Family Reunion Christmas, Winans released his single “In Jesus Name” last year and also revealed he had contracted COVID, Davidson appeared in the special Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, and Whitley had a role in Netflix’s 2020 film Hubie Halloween.

The series allows celebrities to speak candidly about their careers, families and relationships, as well as the obstacles they faced on their road to success, and sometimes even dispel rumors.
“The enduring power of Uncensored continues to be one of the network’s top-rated and most inspirational series. This season promises another dynamic line up of talent,” executive producer Jason Ryan said in a press release about the upcoming season.
Uncensored is produced for TV One by executive producers Eric Tomosunas, Keith Neal, James Seppelfrick and Paul Hall, co-executive producer Jay Allen, and Nikki Byles of Swirl Films. For TV One, Jason Ryan is the executive in charge of production.
Last season the series featured a sit-down interview with the late DMX that was recorded days before his untimely death. Family Matters alum Jaleel White, Remy Ma, and R&B trailblazer Kem were also featured.
The fourth season of Uncensored premieres Sunday, Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. ET.
