“Unfaithful was important to me because I’ve been that person, confused, unsure and seeking answers in a relationship,” Roman said in a recent press release. “I needed help figuring out if I should go forward or move on. Unfaithful provided a way for me to assist others in that predicament.”
The show’s twist comes when the suspicious half of the couple has to choose whether to partner up with their partner’s other lover or take them both down in an undercover ambush.
“I want to take both of them down,” one woman says in the trailer after she learns the truth.
The series is executive produced by Sitarah Pendelton-Eaglin, Jennifer Aguirre, John Varela and Executive in Charge of production Liz Kim for VH1. Lashan Browning and Kim McKoy are executive producers for New Group Productions. Roman serves as consulting producer.
Unfaithful premieres May 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT after the season premieres of Basketball Wives and Couples Retreat.
