Celebrities, politicians and athletes all dunked on President Trump for his tweet calling LeBron James and Don Lemon dumb.
Aisha Tyler, Barbra Streisand, Hillary Clinton and Karl-Anthony Towns unloaded criticized Trump for the tweet he posted Friday night, after CNN re-aired Lemon’s interview with James.
“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made LeBron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” Trump tweeted, saying he prefers NBA legend Michael Jordan to James.

The president, who’s known for being thin-skinned, was likely upset about a comment James made in the interview, when he accused Trump of using sports to divide the nation.
“What I’ve noticed over the past few months [is] he’s kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that’s something that I can’t relate to,” James said.

The interview was recorded in the NBA champion’s hometown of Akron, Ohio, where he opened a new school last week for at-risk kids.
James didn’t immediately respond to Trump’s insult, but Lemon had a few things to say.
“Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?” the CNN anchor tweeted, referring to the Trump administration’s family separation debacle and first lady Melania Trump’s #BeBest campaign encouraging children to be their best selves.

Michael Jordan also sided with James.
“I support LJ,” the NBA Hall of Famer said in a statement. “He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”
Actress and comedian Aisha Tyler repeated James’ insult from last year, when he called Trump a “bum” for rescinding a White House invitation to the Golden State Warriors.
“45, U bum,” Tyler tweeted, along with a link to an article about reaction to the president’s comments.

Hollywood legend Barbra Streisand also chimed in, calling Trump’s tweet “insane.”
“This is insane! Look who is calling someone else dumb!” she tweeted.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns blasted Trump as well.
“So let me get this straight: Flint, MI has dirty water still, but you worried about an interview about a man doing good for education and generations of kids in his hometown? Towns tweeted. “Shut your damn mouth!”
Even first lady Melania Trump sided with James.
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today,” her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement to CNN.

.@KingJames is a great family man, incredible ballplayer, gives back to his community, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He’s a world class athlete and a class act. We need more like him in this world.

Seething on Twitter against Don Lemon and Lebron James is not normal or sane.
Doing it at midnight is even less normal and sane.
Forget impeachment.
