Lil Wayne teamed up with Halsey and Swizz Beatz for two powerful performances on Saturday Night Live.
For his first song, the New Orleans rapper delivered an emotional version of Can’t Be Broken from his new album, Tha Carter V. Halsey sang the hook, which is performed uncredited on the album by Danish songwriter-producer Thomas Troelsen.
After the song ended, Lil Wayne paid tribute to those who’ve served the nation in honor of Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
“To all the veterans, thank you,” he said.
For his second performance, the rapper upped the energy with the dance track Uproar. Joined by producer-rapper Swizz Beatz, Wayne strutted around the stage in a spotted fur coat and boots as dancers in jumpsuits shimmied in the background.

The hip-hop star also got a chance to make the audience laugh, along with fellow rapper Future, when they teamed up with The Booty Kings (SNL regulars Chris Redd and Kenan Thompson) and Uncle Butt (Pete Davidson) for a parody video called Permission.
The rap video — about asking women for consent before making sexual advances — featured curvy ladies in a nightclub twerking and dropping it low.
Wearing medallions that say “Time’s Up,” The Booty Kings approach several ladies in the club. When the women say they aren’t interested, the rappers respect their wishes and walk away, to the ladies’ surprise.
Before they approach more women, Redd raps: “I’m on a mission for that a–, but first I need permission.”
