Netflix is adding to the cast of ensemble comedy Coffee & Kareem, with the announcement that RonReaco Lee (The First Wives Club, Survivor’s Remorse), Betty Gilpin (Glow, The Hunt), Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (King Bachelor’s Pad )and Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Speechless) are joining the film.
Taraji P. Henson and Ed Helms were previously announced as the stars of the project.
The movie centers on a Detroit cop who reluctantly teams up with his girlfriend’s 11 year-old son to clear his name and take down the city’s most ruthless criminal, Netflix said in a press release.
Michael Dowse is directing from a script penned by Shane McCarthy. Helms and Mike Falbo are producing via their Pacific Electric Pictures Co banner, with Sanford Nelson, Jordon Foss, Linden Nelson, Don Foss and Dan Clarke serving as executive producers.
The premiere date has not yet been announced.
