After making headlines over the past month for Will Smith’s Oscars slap, Jada Pinkett Smith is ready to return to the red table — although without Will for now.

Red Table Talk returns with new episodes Wednesday, April 20 on Facebook Watch.

The premiere episode of the digital talk show will feature Janelle Monáe. The singer and actress will sit down with hosts Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield Norris to discuss being part of the LGBTQIA+ community and healing from the trauma of having a father suffering from addiction. Monáe will be joined by her mother Janet Hawthorne.

The season 5 trailer was released Tuesday and features a flurry of provocative guests, including Academy Award winner Kim Basinger and her daughter Ireland Baldwin. The appearance will be Basinger’s first interview in over a decade.

The hosts will also speak with the heartbroken parents of former Miss USA and Extra correspondent Cheslie Kryst, who died earlier this year by suicide.

Other guests include Ayleen Charlotte, who fell victim to the infamous Tindler Swindler, who will discuss being conned. Another episode will feature “My Friend Anna” author Rachel DeLoache Williams and Sharktank business woman Barbara Corcoran.

Notably absent from the trailer — Will Smith. On March 27, the King Richard star slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars after Rock made a Joke about Pinkett’s shaved head.
