Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx and Wanda Sykes are among the stars set to headline a new comedy festival is Los Angeles hosted by Netflix.
The streaming giant announced details Monday on the event called “Netflix is a Joke Fest,” and described it as a “star-studded celebration of comedy.
The inaugural festival will span across 20 venues in Los Angeles. Netflix talent that will also be featured include Amy Schumer, David Letterman, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Ken Jeong, Marlon Wayans and Bill Burr.

Netflix COO Ted Sarandos said in a statement, “It’s our honor to transform LA for one week into the funniest place on earth. This festival is a unique celebration of the art of comedy, and the role it plays in reflecting our lives and defining culture.”
The festival will take place April 27 to May 3 and will feature live stand-up shows and special events. Pre-sale tickets went on sale today.
Events include The Hall: Honoring the Greats of Stand-Up, a hall of fame tribute honoring late legends Richard Pryor, Joan Rivers, Robin Williams and George Carlin. It will feature Hart and Chappelle, as well as Chris Rock, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman and Sykes. The tribute will be recorded at the Ace Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
An event celebrating LGBTQ+ comedians will feature headliners Alan Carr, Hannah Gadsby, Margaret Cho, Rosie O’Donnell, Sandra Bernhard and Sykes. That event will take place at the Greek Theatre.
Festival venues also include the Wiltern, the Orpheum, the Largo and the Laugh Factory. Additional information can be found on the festival website.
