Kerry Washington is set to star in Eva Longoria’s directorial debut for Universal Pictures.
The workplace comedy — 24-7 — follows a “group of women accountants who band together against a group of male co-workers to solve a fraud case that will save their jobs,” The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Thursday.
Paul Feig (A Simple Favor) is producing with partner Jessie Henderson, while Sarah Rothschild (The Gauntlet) wrote the script.
Although this project marks Longoria’s first foray as a film director, she has directed numerous television episodes throughout the years. Some of the actress’ credits include Black-ish, Jane the Virgin, The Mick, LA to Vegas, and Telenovela, to name a few.
Longoria discussed her drive to direct in a recent interview with Variety, explaining: “One of the reasons I went into producing and directing was I wasn’t going to sit back and wait for somebody to create a role I wanted to do.”
“I was very lucky Desperate Housewives fit into what I could do as an actor, but that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. You can’t just sit around waiting for that, and I wanted to create that — not just for myself but for other Latinas.”

Washington’s professional life is also busy, with her executive producing an adaptation of the futuristic graphic novel Old City Blues for Hulu.
Additionally, she will star in and executive produce the streaming service’s limited series, Little Fires Everywhere, with Reese Witherspoon.
