Idris Elba turns up in the new promo for Saturday Night Live.
After getting a call saying he landed a gig hosting the NBC sketch comedy series, Elba put on his finest clothes and strutted into studio 8H.
The U.K. native — who was recently name People’s Sexiest Man Alive — popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. But suddenly, SNL regular Aidy Bryant appeared in the studio and told him to put the bottle down.
“Idris you can’t drink that in here,” she said.
After Elba apologized, Bryant handed him a massive bottle of bubbly and said “you gotta drink this.”
The Wire alum hesitated after looking at the gigantic bottle, but then said “okay.”

The two drank and danced to the single Talk from Khalid — who will be this weekend’s musical guest.
Elba is hosting the show ahead of the March 15 premiere of his new Netflix comedy series, Turn Up Charlie, about a struggling DJ who picks up a job as a manny for a precocious 11-year-old girl.
The actor’s episode of Saturday Night Live airs on March 9, at 11:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT on NBC. Watch the new promo above.
