Don Cheadle Booked to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ for First Time

Live from New York, it will soon be Don Cheadle.

The Oscar-nominated actor has been booked to host Saturday Night Live for the first time on  Feb. 16. Blues musician Gary Clark Jr. will appear on the episode as musical guest.

SNL announced the news Thursday afternoon on Twitter, and Cheadle replied “aw sh*t!!!” followed by three fire emojis.

Cheadle has appeared in such films as Devil in a Blue Dress (1995), Hotel Rwanda (2004), Talk to Me (2007) and the Iron Man franchise.

He currently stars on the new Showtime Wall Street satire Black Monday, and has a role in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Endgame, which opens in April.

The next episode of SNL featuring Halsey as host and musical guest will air on Feb. 9.
