Former Los Angeles Lakers star Derek Fisher is about to welcome TV viewers into his home.

The five-time NBA champion has landed a new reality series that will follow his life outside the court with wife Gloria Govan and their extended family, Deadline reported Monday. The show will highlight the challenges the two face co-parenting, dealing with high-profile exes and demanding teenagers.

The untitled series is produced by Maverick TV, an All3Media-backed production company that produced Netflix’s American Barbecue Showdown and Demarcus Family Rules.

Govan is no stranger to reality TV, after previously starring on the hit VH1 series Basketball Wives.

Fisher proposed to Govan in 2018 after dating for three years, as we reported at the time. Each had been previously married. Gloria was the ex-wife of former Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors star Matt Barnes, with whom she has twin sons. Fisher was married to Candace Fisher and the two are parents to four children together.

In 2015, Barnes and former teammate Fisher made headlines during an altercation at Govan’s Los Angeles home. No charges were filed.

Last year Fisher and Govan were married after delaying their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s unknown which network will carry the series. Deadline says filming is currently underway, and in the coming weeks a pilot presentation will be sent out to networks.
