BET Awards 2018: When Is the Show and Who’s Performing?

The BET Awards are almost here.

But before you sit down to watch BET’s 18th annual celebration of the best in music, movies and sports, there are a few things you need to know.

When and Where Are the Awards?
The show takes place Sunday, June 24, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The awards air at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on BET.

Who’s Hosting?
Jamie Foxx. The actor, comedian and Beat Shazam host is no stranger to the BET Awards, having previously hosted in 2009. He also brought lots of laughs to the show last year when he stepped on stage to present and was asked to fill time. Foxx essentially performed a comedy routine for the audience on the fly.

Who’s Performing?
Whether you prefer hip-hop, R&B or gospel, there’s something for everyone.

Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, YG, Big Sean, Miguel, Daniel Caesar, Jay Rock, Yolanda Adams, 2 Chainz, Migos, Janelle Monae and H.E.R. are all scheduled to perform, according to

R&B legend Anita Baker will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, BET announced Thursday. There will also likely be some poignant moments when BET presents the Humanitarian Award to six recipients, including Waffle House hero James Shaw Jr., Parkland hero Anthony Borges and writer-activist Shaun King.

Who’s Nominated?
DJ Khaled has a leading six nominations, including album of the year for Grateful and video of the year for Wild Thoughts featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. He’s followed by Kendrick Lamar, who received five nominations, including two nods for album of the year – one for Damn and the other for the Black Panther soundtrack.
