Angela Simmons has confirmed the death of her former fiancé, Sutton Tennyson.
Tennyson, 37, was shot multiple times Saturday in the garage of an Atlanta building located in the 600 block of Jewel Drive SW, CBS 46 reported. Local police told the Atlanta television station the shooting occurred after some type of argument.
Simmons, 31, took to Instagram Sunday to express her heartbreak and to thank Tennyson for their two-year-old son, Sutton Joseph Tennyson.
“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift. I’m hurting. I’m numb,” she captioned a photo of Tennyson and the toddler. “Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone. I can’t believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton. I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise.”
Simmons, a reality star and daughter of hip-hop pioneer Rev. Run, announced her engagement to the businessman on social media in April 2016.
The coupled welcomed their son five months later, but called off their engagement in 2017.
On Dec. 29, 2017, the Growing Up Hip Hop star announced on Instagram that was single.
