Michael Jai White has revealed his eldest son died from COVID-19 just “a few months ago.”

During a YouTube interview with VLAD TV, the Arrow actor talked about his six children and opened up about how his 38-year-old son passed away.

“He was in the hospital for a while so it wasn’t immediate,” White said.

“Unfortunately, he was still kinda out there in the streets hustling, wasn’t doing well, started getting on substances,” the Black Dynamite actor said about trying to help his son but that he “lived the life he wanted to live, he made that choice.”

“Ultimately, when he got sick and went to the hospital, COVID was waiting for him… That was the knockout blow,” White continued.

“His system was compromised because of the other abuse,” he said, adding that his son had not been vaccinated.

His son also had six children of his own. White shared that he was 15 when he had his oldest son and that they “grew up at the same time.”

The actor married Gillian Iliana White in 2015. They have three children together. Gillian also has a child from a previous relationship.
