‘9-1-1’ Season 2 Trailer: Massive Earthquake Rips LA Apart

Fox released the season 2 trailer Thursday for first responder drama 9-1-1, and it’s intense.

The nearly two-minute video shows Jennifer Love Hewitt joining the series as emergency dispatch operator Maddie, after Connie Britton’s exit at the end of the first season.

Unfortunately for Maddie, the emergencies are non-stop when a massive earthquake rattles Los Angeles – people are trapped, roads are crumbling and fires are spreading across the city.

The video also show’s Angela Bassett’s character, Athena, getting romantic with Bobby, played by
Peter Krause. Rockmond Dunbar, Ryan Guzman, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds and Kenneth Choi co-star in the series.

The drama from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minears follows the traumatic situations police officers, firefighters and emergency operators constantly confront as they answer calls for help.

9-1-1 is set to return with a two-night premiere on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8/7 c and Monday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on Fox.
