50 Cent Joins Forces With La La Anthony for New Starz Drama

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and La La Anthony are teaming up to create a new series for Starz.

The rapper and television personality are adapting author Alexa Martin’s popular book, Intercepted, which follows the trials and tribulations of a scorned NFL wife, Deadline reported Tuesday. The television show will carry the same name as the novel, which is the first in a three-book series.

Anthony is attached to executive produce and star as protagonist Marlee Harper. 50 Cent’s G-Unit Films and Television production company will develop the series.

The hip-hop mogul also serves as an executive producer on Starz’s Power, which will end after its upcoming sixth season, the premium cable network announced Thursday. The rapper appeared in the first five seasons. Anthony has starred on the series since 2014.

50 Cent is also producing Black Mafia Family and Vanguard for the network, thanks to his $150 million four-year television deal with the company.

Anthony has produced La La’s Full Court Life and La La’s Full Court Wedding.
