Monique Samuels is returning to reality television on OWN’s Love & Marriage: DC, following her exit from The Real Housewives of Potomac.

OWN made the announcement in a recent press release, saying the new series will mark the cable network’s first-ever franchise spinoff following the success of its popular Saturday night staple Love & Marriage: Huntsville.

Fans of RHOP will recognize Samuels and her former NFL player husband Chris who co-starred together on the Bravo reality show. This time around, Chris is still figuring out what to do post retirement while Monique is busy with her booming businesses.

“I’m back and better than ever! Get to know the real, whole me,” Monique says in a teaser for Love & Marriage: DC.

In addition to Monique and Chris, the new series will feature radio personality and DJ QuickSilva and his wife Ashley, who is stepping into her own spotlight as a fashion designer, podcast host, and author. The cast also includes Erana and Jamie Tyler who are described as D.C.’s hottest socialite couple, but after 26 years of marriage, they are looking for ways to keep the spark alive in their marriage.

As the name suggests, Love & Marriage: DC is set in the DMV. The show is produced by Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment, the production company behind some of OWN’s popular reality shows including Love & Marriage: Huntsville and Belle Collective.

Love & Marriage: DC
 premieres in spring 2022.

Meanwhile, OWN’s current most-watched unscripted series, Love & Marriage: Huntsville returns Saturday, March 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with Melody Holt and Martell Holt, Kimmi and Maurice Scott, Marsau and LaTisha Scott, Destiny Payton-Williams, as well as season three newcomers Tiffany and Louis Whitlow.
